Right... In response to my complete and utter lack of creativity and skill at them moment I thought I would put it all into a recorded message that you can all watch because I know deep down we are all really really lazy and reading takes so much time!

So here it is... Me drinking coffee and explaining it all.

I'm just asking for help! Gah. Internet.

I love you all! Help would be amazing! Emily and her (Now under-active) brain out!

5 Things I love this summer

Okay guys! I have had a strange summer with the weather over here. Sometimes its blazing hot and other times its like I'm living in the middle of a storm! So I have had a lot of time spare since I have left school and I have found a lot of things I just love to do. So, in not particular order here are some of the things I love this summer! (So Far)

1. Watching the movie Hairspray.
Okay. No judging guys... I have got the movie soundtrack on my Spotify. I watch it at least 4 times a week. I know every word. I'm obsessed. In fact. I'm listening to Big Blonde and Beautiful right now. Just stop looking at me with those judging eyes...

2. Going to the beach.
Slightly obvious, but still crucial! Cycling down to the beach and just laying there for a couple hours really clears my head and boosts my creativity. It also stops me watching Hairspray. Unhealthy obsession... Gah.

3. YouTube.
Yes... Talking to a camera. I love it... It's so much fun! Getting to talk about what I love to other people who love it. It's great! It also takes me away from the TV so I can't watch Hairspray. Is it such an unhealthy obsession? Yes? Damn.

4. Blogging!
You. Yes you reading this line. You have made my summer. Finding joy in the one thing I love. Writing! I get to connect with you guys and I'm slowly growing my own little family and community! Plus I can go on about how much I love Hairspray and you wont judge to much! Fine. I'll shut up about it... soon.

5. Old music!
I have found myself in love with music like All Time Low- Lost In Stereo and All American Rejects- Gives You hell and Dirty Little Secret. All off which are on Spotify! Under a playlist labeled "Hairspray" I wonder what that's got in it. Nope. No idea...

So there is the 5 things I love about summer (So far)! Updates coming soon! Facebook and Youtube links are on the top bar! Check them out and like and subscribe! Don't forget to follow me on here to!

On the cheap. Photoshoot

Hey there! I love doing thinks on the cheap. Going out into sales and finding great deals is really fun to me! So recently I was invited to model for my friend to start collecting photos for her college portfolio. So since I really enjoy doing things like that I automatically agreed to the offer and headed over to her house.

We spent the day sorting out outfits and makeup and getting me ready. Eventually, after several photos we were done and she got busy editing them. I have been waiting a while to show you them and she just sent them over. So here we are... I'm going to show you the top two!

I love this photo! The Skirt was £19 pound from Newlook, The top was £8 from Primark and the crop top was £3 from Newlook. I wore my hair in a tight fishtail plait (Not easy with thick hair) and I wore simple winged eyeliner. The black and white effect is what I like about this photo. I like simple.

We then ventured outside into her back garden in a new outfit. This time wearing brighter colours! You can clearly see my dipdye in the curls which is great! My dress is a Primark dress and it was only £12. The belt was £4 from Newlook. I wore my hair in tight curls with a poof at the front and simple eye make-up with a bright lip.

All in all I loved the day and the Photos turned out awesome! Thank you so much Katie for taking these!

Whilst you are here I have a new video up on my Youtube! Dont forget to subscribe!

Music Monday! Kirsten Evans

Kirsten EvansI have realized that I am reviewing music a lot therefore I think it will be a good idea to start a little series about music I've been listening to, subsequently creating Music Monday!

Well, this week I have been listening to the amazingly talented Kirsten Evans. Her time in the recording studio definitely pays off! I'm addicted to her Soundcloud! She writes a lot of her own stuff including Shadows, Special One and Bird. All of which are overly addictive.

When she was recording her first song, Bird. She was given the opportunity to have a video made for her. You can see a little of the footage on her Facebook page linked below. She hopes to have the full video out soon.

She deserves all the attention she gets from her amazing talent. It's unbelievable that a girl can sing like this! I would really appreciate it if you would all check her out as this weeks Music Monday star.

You can find her-

The Academic. New release!

Okay guys so as you know I have been following the band, The Academic. I am pleased to announce that they have not one... not two... But three original songs released on their Soundcloud now. If you haven't got the link it's below:

Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/theacademictheband

The song "Glassjaw" has such an addictive bass line. It's stuck in my head! The guys have done yet another amazing job. It's literally one of the only things I play on my Soundcloud.

The second release is "What are you waiting for?" It is another great song by the guys on the addictive Soundcloud album. and it is a bit more mellow than "Glassjaw" and it's also stuck in my head. The songs are to catchy guys!

If you haven't already, in which case get out from under that rock your hiding under, go and check them out! They deserve the views they get and I'm going to follow them straight to the top!

All my luck guys! Not that you need it...

Don't forget to follow me on here for more updates on these amazing guys!

Beat the heat!

Okay guys. So we all know by now that I like to be creative. So here are some super creative ways I have found to beat the heat in this so called 'Heatwave' that is hitting England or if you are lucky enough to live in a hot area then this is for you to! So here we go...

Creative ways to beat the heat

1) Put ice in front of your fan!- This 'cool' and inventive way of cooling your room if your fan isn't doing enough helps increase the windchill factors in your room.

2) Wet a cotton bandanna and put it on your head or neck!- I understand this sounds crazy and insane when it comes to leaving the house. I'm sure there is some way to start making it look better?

3) Make your own ice cream!- Seriously, go all out. Make it amazing! Mix crazy flavors. Be the new Ben & Jerry's.

4) BBQ instead of oven cooking!- It's BBQ season people! Not eating in the house will mean less heat in the home. Less heat means more cool... but you know that.

5) Lose the shoes!- Take them off! as the sweat evaporates on your feel the blood vessel pump blood around to other parts of the body causing a greater sensation of coolness

6) If you think you're cool... You are!- No seriously, reading about the cold or thinking of the cold will cause your body to believe that you really are!

7) Ice on pressure points!- It's great. Put Ice into a bag and rest them on your pressure points or run them under cold water. It really cools you down!

8) Take the chance to adventure!- Go camping. In a tent or under the stars. Embrace the warm air! Even if it is in the back garden! Be adventurous!

Have you got any creative ways to beat the heat? Let me know in the comments! Keep hydrated guys!

Music that stimulates creativity!

If you are looking for advise to start being creative and living a creative life here is one of my main tips:
Music plays a large part in creativity. Creativity is a huge part of my life! From creating artwork to writing my book. So I rely hugely on the power of music to trigger certain emotions.

I find it almost amusing that music can bring you to tears and then back to laughter within minuets. To be honest I really wish I could sing. Alas, I can't. So, my advise. Harness this power of emotion that music can bring. It can stimulate creativity and, in turn, lighten your mood.

I use Spotify a lot. It gives me chance to choose music that really suits what I am going to write or draw. It definitely helps with writers block as well. I would suggest music that you could listen to but you really need to pick songs that you love and you think will help create mood swings. That sounds strange. Most the time you want to prevent them.

To conclude:

  • Harness music
  • Spend as long as you need choosing the right tracks
  • Create mood swings (I suggest not to the point of creating arguments)
  • Let your mind do the rest!
Good luck!
